Thorsten Herrmann to lead CGM’s business in Germany

CompuGroup Medical (CGM) has appointed Thorsten Herrmann as Managing Director for its home and core market Germany, effective April 1, 2026.

In the role, Herrmann will oversee CGM’s German business across all customer segments. This includes healthcare providers such as physician and dental practices, hospitals and pharmacies, as well as business with statutory health insurers and industry.

Leadership background in global IT companies

Herrmann brings around 30 years of management experience in the IT sector. Most recently, he served as Country Leader Germany and Senior Vice President Technology at Oracle. Earlier positions included senior leadership roles at Microsoft Germany and at Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

The business graduate in information systems began his career at IBM.

Emphasis on transformation and digital solutions

According to the company, Herrmann’s mix of technology expertise and sales leadership is expected to support the rollout of CGM’s solutions, including AI-enabled applications, in day-to-day care settings. The appointment is positioned as part of CGM’s ongoing transformation with a stronger focus on customer needs.
