URSAPHARM Arzneimittel GmbH has launched HYLO EyePlanet, a free digital platform focused on eye health. The offer combines scientific background, editorial articles, videos and interactive formats. It is aimed at affected individuals and interested consumers as well as healthcare professionals, journalists, teachers and people responsible for occupational health and workplace health management.
For pharma and healthcare marketing audiences, the launch is relevant as a content and service initiative around an established indication area. URSAPHARM is using the platform to combine education on eye strain, prevention and symptoms with content tailored to different target groups. The company says the platform will be updated and expanded on an ongoing basis.
A content hub for prevention, screen work and dry eye
The platform covers topics such as nutrition, visual habits and the impact of intensive screen work on eye health. It also addresses possible warning signs and symptoms, including dry eye. A media library brings together videos and animated formats designed to make more complex topics easier to understand.
Interactive applications are another element of the offer. They include a knowledge check on dry eye. Additional modules are intended to help users better classify typical symptoms and learn about options for relief as well as relevant product information. The platform therefore sits at the intersection of patient education, digital services and indication-based brand communication.
Delphi study as a central content anchor
One focus of HYLO EyePlanet is the study “FUTURE SIGHT – A Delphi Study on the Future of Eye Health in Europe 2035”. The study was commissioned by URSAPHARM and, according to the company, conducted independently by the Center for Sports and Management at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management. It was published in March 2026.
For the study, 57 experts from 23 countries assessed 14 forecasts on the future of eye health. Topics included increasing screen work, myopia among younger people, dry eye, smart contact lenses and digital health monitoring. The full study is available for download on the platform.
Among the results highlighted by the company is the assessment that dry eye symptoms could become more common in Europe by 2035. The experts estimated a 73 percent probability that at least half of people in Europe will regularly experience such symptoms. They assigned a similarly high likelihood to the forecast that eight out of ten workplaces will require continuous focus on screens or comparable displays. These figures are forecasts from a Delphi process and should not be read as measurements of current prevalence.
A digital environment for multiple audiences
URSAPHARM is positioning HYLO EyePlanet not only as a consumer-facing offer but also as an information environment for professional audiences. For healthcare companies, this type of hub can help bundle science-related topics, service content and video formats in a controlled digital channel. At the same time, it increases the need for a clear distinction between general health information, product-related communication and professional context.
