Incyte Biosciences Germany is expanding its interface with health policy. The Munich-based pharmaceutical company has created the position of Director Government Affairs and appointed Sabine Hoffmann to the role.
Hoffmann has held the position since September 2026. She is responsible for the biotech company’s political representation in Germany, with a remit that includes strengthening dialogue with policymakers and other relevant stakeholders in the healthcare sector.
Corporate affairs and policy background
Before joining Incyte, Hoffmann worked at Organon, where she had been on board since spring 2021. Most recently, she served as Lead Corporate Affairs Northwest Europe. Prior to Organon, she spent around five years at Pfizer Germany as Senior Manager Governmental Relations & Policy Affairs.
Hoffmann has also gained political experience in the German Bundestag. In her new role at Incyte, she is based in Berlin, with regular presence planned at the company’s Munich site.
Signal for stronger policy engagement
The newly established function gives Incyte a dedicated structure for managing political dialogue in Germany. For pharmaceutical companies, this interface is increasingly relevant as health policy, reimbursement conditions and market access are closely linked to external communication.
In a LinkedIn post about her start at Incyte Germany, Hoffmann described the first weeks as a smooth onboarding phase and said the initial setup had been completed. She indicated that the next step is to move deeper into projects and contribute to the team’s work.
