Teva launches Home Ground online hub for schizophrenia

Teva Pharmaceuticals has launched the Home Ground Schizophrenia Community, a new online platform aimed at supporting people living with schizophrenia and their care partners. Teva announced the launch on April 15, 2026.

The company positions the platform as a central destination intended to reduce friction caused by fragmented information and support. A key theme is addressing day-to-day challenges associated with the condition, including social isolation, through practical, community-informed resources.

Built with input from the community

According to Teva, Home Ground was developed in collaboration with people living with schizophrenia, care partners and mental health advocacy groups. The company describes the platform as a complement to clinical care rather than a substitute for medical treatment.

Teva named Dan Laitman as a Home Ground ambassador and community advocate living with schizophrenia, and Nicole Drapeau Gillen as a care partner, schizophrenia advocate and Home Ground ambassador.

What the platform includes

Teva says Home Ground provides tools and resources across areas that commonly affect daily life, including:

  • Symptom tracking and management materials, such as worksheets to capture mood, sleep, stress and potential triggers to support discussions with healthcare providers
  • Emotional wellness content, including peer-informed coping approaches and videos featuring lived experience perspectives
  • Independent living guides and toolkits focused on routines, reminders, community resource lists and shared goal setting
  • Physical health prompts and checklists related to sleep, activity and broader medical care
  • Listings for in-person and virtual events intended to help people connect locally and nationally

Why Teva is emphasizing social support

Schizophrenia is a chronic and severely debilitating mental disorder. Teva cites estimates that around 1 percent of the global population will develop schizophrenia over a lifetime. The company also points to research indicating high rates of loneliness among people with psychotic disorders and argues that strengthening social connection should be integrated into care planning.

Access and availability

Teva states that all Home Ground resources are available online at no cost to anyone seeking information or support, including people living with schizophrenia, care partners, and those working in the mental health community. The platform is available at homegroundscz.com.
