Jean-Michel Quinot Joins AOP Health as COO to Drive Strategic Expansion and Global Growth

AOP Health has strengthened its global leadership team with the appointment of Jean-Michel Quinot, a seasoned executive with extensive international experience. Quinot assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) in April 2025 and joins the company at a pivotal moment of strategic transformation. His priorities include ambitious expansion targets through 2030, notably entering the U.S. market and evolving AOP Health into a global pharmaceutical group.

As COO and a member of the Corporate Executive Committee (CEC), Quinot is focusing on operational excellence, harmonizing core processes, and creating clear communication structures. “We need to reduce complexity while keeping our teams motivated. This requires a clear vision and respectful leadership,” says Quinot.

Leading with Purpose

Jean-Michel Quinot places people at the center of every business decision. “I see myself primarily as a team developer,” he states. His goal is to enable his teams to grow professionally, personally, and in terms of responsibility. “Everyone should know where we want to go,” Quinot emphasizes. Equally important to him is making a tangible impact on patient care: “AOP Health addresses unmet medical needs in rare diseases and intensive care. My mission is to scale this impact globally.”

Global Experience for Sustainable Growth

Quinot brings an impressive international track record, including leadership roles at Bristol-Myers Squibb, as CEO of Nordic Pharma, and as founder of the successful Swiss generics company Amring International, which he scaled effectively. Most recently, he supported health start-ups – before being appointed to AOP Health’s executive leadership team.

“I’m an entrepreneur at heart – inspired by new ideas, international diversity, and a clear contribution to medical progress,” Quinot explains.
