Redcare Pharmacy plans CEO transition to Peter Schmid von Linstow

Redcare Pharmacy is preparing a change at the top of its Managing Board. Peter Schmid von Linstow is set to succeed Olaf Heinrich as CEO in what the company describes as a planned leadership transition.

Heinrich and the Supervisory Board agreed that the timing was appropriate for a handover. Heinrich is expected to remain available to the company in an advisory capacity.

Leadership change follows Rx expansion

During Heinrich’s tenure, Redcare Pharmacy says it strengthened its position in the prescription medicines market. The rollout of electronic prescriptions in Germany and access to the Rx segment through CardLink were key elements of that development.

The company also points to progress in its international business, which was scaled to profitability under Heinrich. Following continued double-digit growth, Redcare Pharmacy raised its full-year 2026 guidance across its main performance indicators in June.

The Supervisory Board presents the succession as a continuity move. Redcare Pharmacy says the regulatory basis built around e-prescriptions and CardLink should support further growth in Rx volumes as well as potential margin and earnings expansion.

Platform experience for the next phase

Peter Schmid von Linstow has been a member of Redcare Pharmacy’s Supervisory Board since April 2026. He brings more than 20 years of international leadership experience from digital platforms and marketplaces, including Visable, Parship, eBay and AutoScout24.

The company emphasizes his track record in scaling e-commerce and platform businesses. His background includes building reach-based business models, developing dealer and service offerings and supporting the international expansion of digital platforms.

Michael Köhler, Chairman of Redcare Pharmacy’s Supervisory Board, thanked Heinrich for his contribution to the company’s development. He described Schmid von Linstow as a strong fit for the next growth phase, citing his entrepreneurial profile and management experience in digital business models.

AI and digital healthcare as growth themes

Redcare Pharmacy links the CEO transition to its ambition to build further on its position in the German e-prescription market and expand its presence in Europe. The company identifies artificial intelligence and the digital transformation of healthcare as key success factors for the coming years.

Schmid von Linstow said he aims to build on Redcare Pharmacy’s existing foundation, technology investments and customer relationships. According to the company, he sees artificial intelligence not simply as a technology upgrade, but as a significant shift for the future of medicine supply.
