Basem Yazgi Appointed Head of Generics Germany and General Manager at ALIUD PHARMA

Basem Yazgi takes the helm of STADA’s generics business in Germany. As of May 2025, he serves as Head of Generics Germany, Vice President at STADA, and General Manager of ALIUD PHARMA. He succeeds Melania Pahor, who is leaving the company.

Yazgi will manage operations from ALIUD’s headquarters in Laichingen. In his new role, he reports directly to Dr. Stephan Eder, STADA’s Head of Germany and Western Europe, and is a member of the German Senior Executive Committee.

Basem brings deep expertise in the German healthcare system and the generics market and has been a key contributor to the success of STADA and ALIUD for years.”

The 38-year-old Syrian-born Yazgi joined ALIUD PHARMA in 2013 as a Market Research Manager. He successfully completed STADA’s “Keep Growing” leadership program and has held various leadership roles since 2020, most recently as Director Commercial, Generics & Business Analytics.

In his new role, Yazgi aims to further strengthen STADA’s market position: “I look forward to continuing our growth journey with my strong team. Digital transformation and AI present exciting potential,” says Yazgi.

Outside of work, Basem Yazgi enjoys sports – especially football and tennis – as well as traveling.
