Digital “Ask an Expert” Q&A on Polycythaemia Vera on October 7, 2025

What is life like with Polycythaemia Vera (PV)? What treatment options are available? How does the disease progress? Many patients are left alone with these questions in everyday life. On October 7, 2025, patients will once again have the opportunity to ask their individual questions directly to leading experts during the digital “Ask an Expert” session.

Organized by AOP Health, this initiative targets individuals affected by the rare myeloproliferative disease PV. Since 2022, the format has offered patients a low-threshold opportunity to engage with renowned medical professionals twice a year.

This upcoming session will again feature two leading specialists in the field of myeloproliferative neoplasms:

  • Prof. Dr. Andreas Reiter, Head of the Center of Excellence for Myeloproliferative Neoplasms in Mannheim
  • Prof. Dr. Martin Grießhammer, Director of the Department of Hematology, Oncology, Hemostaseology and Palliative Medicine at Johannes Wesling University Hospital in Minden

Over 430 patient questions regarding symptoms, treatment progression, and quality of life have been answered during the previous eight digital sessions – clear evidence of the high level of demand for information.

Participation is easy and anonymous: questions can be submitted in advance via the online form at www.ask-an-expert-live.de. After the event, the content will be made available for later reference in topic-based segments.

With its focus on rare diseases such as PV, AOP Health consistently upholds its guiding principle: “Needs. Science. Trust.” – dedicated to patients and their unique needs.

SAVE THE DATE: The next online session takes place on October 7, 2025.
