Leadership transition at OnlineDoctor: Founders hand over operational management to Leonie Sommer-Eska

After more than nine years at the helm, OnlineDoctor founders Dr. Tobias Wolf and Dr. Philipp Wustrow will hand over operational leadership to Leonie Sommer-Eska as of August 1, 2025. She has held senior positions at OnlineDoctor for many years and helped build the company from the ground up.

This leadership transition is an important step in OnlineDoctor’s long-term growth strategy: continuity, trust, and a strong internal leadership team are at the core of this move. The current management team, including CTO Nicholas Pleschko and CLO Theresa Sieverding, will remain unchanged. Over the coming months, the leadership team will be strategically expanded.

Becoming CEO of OnlineDoctor is a great responsibility – together with a fantastic team, we will continue to advance our vision of sustainably improving dermatological care through digital solutions,” says Leonie Sommer-Eska.

The founders will now focus on new roles: Dr. Wolf will continue to serve on the board of directors, while Dr. Wustrow will take on a new leadership role within the Lohmann & Rauscher (L&R) Group, which OnlineDoctor has been part of since early 2024.

With around 800 dermatologists, over 300 pharmacies, and multiple partnerships, OnlineDoctor is one of the leading providers of teledermatology solutions in the DACH region.
