Medicos Kosmetik sets up Transformation Office for Dermasence
Skincare manufacturer Medicos Kosmetik has created a new unit to drive strategic development for its Dermasence brand. Headquartered in Münster, the company is bundling key future-focused topics in a dedicated Transformation Office.
Leadership from March 2026
Christian Mies-Mäkelä has been heading the new unit since early March 2026. He joins from Pierre Fabre Group, where he spent more than eleven years and most recently served as Director Marketing & Digital, overseeing the brand portfolio including Eau Thermale Avène, Ducray and A-Derma in Germany and Austria.
Background at Pierre Fabre and Beiersdorf
Prior to Pierre Fabre, Mies-Mäkelä worked for around nine years at Beiersdorf. In various roles, he held responsibilities including International Customer & POS Activation and served as National Key Account Manager for pharmaceutical wholesale and mail order.
Working closely with management
In his new position, Mies-Mäkelä will work closely with Managing Director Philipp Beckmann. The Transformation Office is tasked with coordinating strategic topics, identifying growth opportunities and driving the company’s development.
“The development steps planned for the future of Dermasence make it necessary to clearly bundle strategic topics and drive them forward in a focused way. With Christian Mies-Mäkelä, we are gaining an experienced expert who will actively help shape this further development.”
