Veronika Schaller Becomes Editor-in-Chief of DONNA and myself – Dr. Sabine Hofmann Bids Farewell After Two Decades
After almost two decades at the helm of myself and eight years leading DONNA, Dr. Sabine Hofmann will step down as editor-in-chief of the two successful women’s lifestyle magazines at the end of November. On December 1, Veronika Schaller will take over the leadership of the FUNKE titles.
“It has been a great pleasure to lead and further develop these magazines together with my team over such a long period of time,” Hofmann reflects. As a seasoned journalist, she has left a lasting mark on both brands and will continue her career as a journalist and author.
FUNKE publisher Julia Becker expressed her gratitude: “With a fine sense for the wishes and lives of her readers, she has shaped and developed DONNA and myself, always driven by her high standards for journalistic quality and responsibility.”
With Veronika Schaller as the new editor-in-chief, FUNKE has chosen a highly experienced media professional. She previously worked with leading women’s magazines, most recently as editor-in-chief of Cosmopolitan. “I am very much looking forward to the challenge of leading two strong brands into the future,” Schaller says.
Barbara Brehm, Managing Director of FUNKE Lifestyle GmbH, also highlights the transition positively: “We are delighted to have gained an accomplished journalist in Veronika Schaller, who will continue to develop DONNA and myself with a strong sense for their audiences. She knows both the changing needs of readers and the dynamics of the advertising market – an important foundation for continued success.”
With this leadership change, a new chapter begins for two of Germany’s most renowned women’s magazines.
