Boehringer Ingelheim Launches Free Blood Test Campaign for Cats – Easy Prevention with Vouchers from June 15 to August 15, 2025

Many cats appear healthy while already suffering from serious illnesses. A nationwide prevention campaign by Boehringer Ingelheim aims to change this: From June 15 to August 15, 2025, cat owners can download a voucher for a free blood test and redeem it at their vet’s office.

Studies show that over 20% of seemingly healthy cats aged seven and older already suffer from chronic conditions. Often, these remain undiscovered because cats hide discomfort very well. “A simple blood test can make a big difference by detecting diseases early,” explains Dr. Christina Rüttinger from Boehringer Ingelheim.

The free blood test includes a complete blood count, kidney markers (SDMA), and metabolic parameters – key values for early detection. While Boehringer Ingelheim covers the laboratory costs, owners only pay for the veterinary service itself (e.g., examination, blood draw).

With an investment of over €300,000, the company emphasizes its commitment to pet health in Germany.
