German Dental Association elects new Executive Board – Dr. Romy Ermler takes over as President
At the Federal Assembly of the German Dental Association (BZÄK), held in Berlin on October 31 and November 1, 2025, a new Executive Board was elected. The delegates chose Dr. Romy Ermler as the new President, Dr. Ralf Hausweiler as Vice President, and Dr. Doris Seiz as Vice President.
“We would like to thank the delegates of the Federal Assembly for the trust they have placed in us. We will take up our work on the Executive Board with great enthusiasm and commitment,” said the new leadership team. Their goal is to support and strengthen dental professionals across Germany – through further development of the dental fee schedule (GOZ), reduction of bureaucracy, securing skilled personnel, and continuing progress in preventive dental care.
The new board also expressed gratitude and appreciation to outgoing President Prof. Dr. Christoph Benz and former Vice President Konstantin von Laffert for their years of dedication and their important contributions to the strategic direction of the BZÄK.
