KBV launches vaccination campaign for medical practices

The National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians, KBV, is preparing an information campaign for the start of the vaccination season together with the regional Associations of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians. Under the slogan “Impfen beim Profi”, the campaign will promote vaccination in medical practices from 1 October.

The initiative addresses the public and aims to encourage people to receive influenza and other vaccinations and to have their vaccination status checked. Communication measures are planned for social media and for high-visibility formats in public spaces.

Materials for waiting rooms and practice websites

Medical practices can order free campaign materials from KBV ahead of the launch. The offer includes a DIN A2 poster featuring the campaign message. KBV is also providing information cards for patients, explaining the importance of vaccination and the role of medical practices as a primary point of contact.

For digital communication, KBV is offering a web banner that practices can integrate into their own websites. This gives practices an additional channel to draw attention to vaccination information in their online presence.

Emphasis on medical advice and safety

With the campaign, KBV underlines that vaccination is a core task within outpatient medical care. The medical service involves more than administering an injection. It also includes taking the vaccination history, providing information, checking for acute illnesses and clarifying possible contraindications.

This positioning is relevant for healthcare communication because it places the advisory and safety role of medical practices at the center of the message. The campaign links a prevention topic with a clear statement on the role of office-based physicians.

Additional information on flu vaccination

In addition to the new campaign materials, KBV points to existing information resources on influenza vaccination and other immunizations. These include a poster and information cards on flu vaccination, as well as a practice information sheet for physicians and practice teams.

KBV also provides a video on influenza vaccination. It explains symptoms, possible complications, risk groups, the recommended timing of vaccination and potential side effects. The materials are intended to support practices in providing factual information to patients about the benefits and process of vaccination.
