AXA to become title partner of German Golf League in 2027
The German Golf Association, Deutsche Golf Sport GmbH and AXA Germany will begin a new partnership with the 2027 season. The insurer will take over the title partnership of the German Golf League. The competition will operate under the name AXA Deutsche Golf Liga presented by All4Golf.
The agreement is initially set to run until the end of 2029. For AXA, the partnership brings broad visibility in German golf. For the association and its commercial subsidiary, it adds a new central marketing partner for the national team competition.
Visibility across the league system
According to the parties involved, the title partnership covers the full league structure. This includes regional divisions, match days in the first Bundesliga and the Final Four, where the leading women’s and men’s teams compete for the German team championships.
AXA will be integrated into the official league name and visual identity. The insurer is also set to appear at match days, on digital platforms, in live scoring, in league communications and at the Final Four. DGV and DGS describe the commitment as the most extensive corporate package in the history of the German Golf League.
Sponsorship linked to health and sport
AXA is also framing the engagement around the connection between sport, movement and health. Kayum Guerrero, member of the management board for sales at AXA Germany, said in the announcement that golf combines physical and mental elements and can be played across many age groups.
DGV President Claus M. Kobold sees the partnership as a long-term signal for the structures of German golf, its clubs and the people involved in the league. Robert Bruck, managing director of Deutsche Golf Sport GmbH, links the cooperation to the further development of the DGL and to strengthening its role as a major European golf league.
Final Four as media showcase
The German Golf League has established the Final Four as its central season event. The competition reaches audiences through live coverage on MagentaSport and via its own communications channels. DGS, a wholly owned commercial subsidiary of the DGV, holds the exclusive marketing rights for the league and the association.
The German Golf Association was founded in 1907. According to its own figures, it represents around 687,000 golfers, 832 members and 726 golf facilities in Germany. AXA Germany is one of the country’s major insurance and financial services groups, with premium income of 12.8 billion euros and 8,362 employees in 2025.
