Holger Holakovsky takes the lead in Dortmund

Holger Holakovsky has been chair of the management board of Boehringer Ingelheim microParts GmbH in Dortmund since 1 July 2026. He succeeds Simone Schulz, who has moved into a global leadership role within Boehringer Ingelheim.

Background in development and manufacturing

Holakovsky has worked for Boehringer Ingelheim since 2004, when he started at the Dortmund site. He later held several management positions in Dortmund and Ingelheim, including roles related to inhalation system development, production and the industrialisation of new medicines.

Most recently, he headed the Launch Factory SOL at the Ingelheim site. With his appointment in Dortmund, the company is placing a manager with long-standing knowledge of the site, its technologies and internal operations at the top of Boehringer Ingelheim microParts.

Dortmund’s role in devices

Boehringer Ingelheim microParts GmbH is associated with expertise in inhaled medicines and devices. The Dortmund site contributes this know-how to Boehringer Ingelheim’s international manufacturing network.

Simone Schulz led the site for several years and supported its development during that period. In her new global position, she is expected to apply her experience at an international level within the company.
