Christiane Steur to head Boehringer’s Biberach site

Christiane Steur has taken over as head of Boehringer Ingelheim’s Biberach site. She succeeds Thomas Reith, who led the site for several years and played a significant role in its development.

Steur has worked for Boehringer Ingelheim for many years. Her experience spans research, development and biopharma. Most recently, she served as Head of Corporate Quality Systems, with responsibility for key global quality systems, and was a member of central international leadership bodies within the company.

Innovation ecosystem in focus

Reith points to Steur’s leadership profile, her operational understanding of the site and her broader view of the company. In his assessment, these strengths position her well to guide the Biberach site through its next phase.

Steur describes Biberach as an important pillar of Boehringer Ingelheim. In her new role, she intends to focus on strengthening the company’s internal and external innovation ecosystem and on preparing the site for the future.
