CHEFKOCH and yeswecan!cer launch cooking hub for people with cancer
FUNKE’s food platform CHEFKOCH and the digital self-help community yeswecan!cer have entered their first collaboration. The partners have launched a new content hub designed to support people with cancer in everyday cooking and eating.
The offer combines recipe ideas, practical guidance and experiences contributed by the CHEFKOCH community. It is supplemented by specialist input from nutrition expert Prof. Dr. Lars Selig.
Nutrition during demanding treatment phases
The hub addresses situations in which cancer treatment can make meals more difficult. The partners refer to issues such as fatigue, nausea and changes in taste perception. The content therefore focuses on dishes that are simple to prepare and intended to be well tolerated, depending on how patients feel on a given day.
In addition to recipes, the digital offer provides information on nutrients that may be relevant during cancer therapy. CHEFKOCH and yeswecan!cer present the material as inspiration and practical support, not as a substitute for medical advice.
Community input meets expert knowledge
Part of the content is based on suggestions from CHEFKOCH users, who contributed personal experiences and recommendations. For the platform, the cooperation illustrates how community input and expert knowledge can be combined in a health-related digital environment.
The partners plan to expand the collaboration further. The project was also presented at yeswecan!cer’s YES!CON, where Christine Nieland, managing director of Chefkoch GmbH, and other experts discussed simple, health-promoting nutrition in challenging life situations.
