MrBeast, Stand Up To Cancer and Amgen back pediatric cancer research

Beast Philanthropy, Stand Up To Cancer and Amgen have launched a global awareness and fundraising effort to support pediatric cancer research. The collaboration is linked to the creation of the Stand Up To Cancer Pediatric Cancer Dream Team, a new research initiative focused on cancers affecting children, adolescents and young adults.

The campaign is built around a new video by Jimmy Donaldson, better known as MrBeast. Donaldson is one of the world’s largest YouTube creators and has more than 500 million subscribers on his main channel. The video, titled I Helped 100 Kids Fight Cancer, features 100 children living with cancer. LeBron James and Dr. Mike are among the public figures involved.

Using creator reach for research awareness

For Amgen, the partnership illustrates how a pharmaceutical and biotechnology company can use creator-driven media to bring scientific topics to a mass audience. Together with Stand Up To Cancer and Beast Philanthropy, the company aims to raise awareness of pediatric cancer and encourage support for research.

The central message connects public visibility with scientific discovery. The Pediatric Cancer Dream Team is intended to bring scientists and physicians from multiple institutions together. Its purpose is to accelerate research that could help improve outcomes for children and families affected by cancer.

Amgen puts research at the center of the campaign

Amgen is using the initiative to highlight its long-term research focus. The biotechnology company has invested in research for more than 45 years and works across areas including oncology, cardiovascular disease, inflammation, rare diseases, and obesity and related conditions.

In the campaign context, Amgen emphasizes research as the foundation for medical progress. The approach combines public education with corporate positioning: viewers are not only introduced to the experiences of young patients, but also to the scientific work that can contribute to future treatment options.

Patient perspective included

The video also features William Yank, who was diagnosed with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia at the age of 21. He is now active as a patient advocate and social media influencer. His story adds a patient perspective to the campaign and underlines the relevance of continued research for people affected by cancer.

The MrBeast video was released on YouTube on Saturday, July 25. For the organizations involved, the project combines broad digital reach, fundraising and science communication in a format that goes beyond conventional healthcare messaging.
