Veeva has introduced new capabilities for its Vault CRM Suite designed to bring field, marketing, medical and service teams in life sciences closer together on one platform. The update focuses on AI-supported workflows, integrated messaging channels and campaign orchestration for engagement with healthcare professionals.
The company is positioning Vault CRM less as a traditional contact record system and more as an operating environment for omnichannel execution. For pharma marketing teams, the relevant point is the tighter connection between customer data, approved content, field activity and digital channels.
AI embedded in field and medical workflows
Among the new features is Conversational AI in Vault CRM. Veeva says the function allows users to research accounts, retrieve pre-call summaries or launch CRM tasks through voice or text commands. An Agentic Home Screen is intended to show prioritized tasks, upcoming engagements and context-based action prompts when users log in.
Another focus is the Agentic Call Report. According to Veeva, it can turn voice notes and free-text inputs from customer interactions into structured call reports and medical insights. Voice notes are described as being transcribed locally on the device. Agentic Text Monitoring is intended to check free-text entries in real time for potential compliance issues.
Veeva also cites early customer data indicating that 65 percent of Agentic Call Reports surface actionable access hurdles, such as patient access, prior authorization or reimbursement issues. That figure is a company-reported data point and should not be read as an independent assessment of product impact.
WhatsApp, SMS and campaign orchestration
For cross-channel engagement, Veeva lists WhatsApp Business Messaging inside Vault CRM, WhatsApp capabilities for event management and SMS built on AWS End-User Messaging. The tools are described as embedding consent capture, approved templates, restricted phrase blocking and other compliance controls into daily workflows.
The My Engage Portal is intended to let HCPs access content, register for events, book meetings or initiate compliant chats with field teams. Secure Messaging via Approved Email is aimed at content that requires privacy controls, brand governance and analytics visibility.
Veeva is also expanding Vault CRM Campaign Manager as part of the suite. Marketers are expected to plan journeys across digital outreach, field engagement and events. Field insights can be brought into campaigns, for example by routing emails through the assigned representative or allowing field teams to review timing and delivery.
Service Center, targeting and key account management
In Service Center, Veeva adds native telephony integrations for Amazon Connect, Genesys Cloud, Microsoft Teams Phone and Five9. The company cites click-to-dial, inbound screen pops and automatic call logging. An in-console knowledge base is intended to give service agents access to approved reference materials during live interactions.
