STADA strengthens commitment to the Parkinson’s community – sponsoring the 6th PingPongParkinson World Championship in Italy

Leading global healthcare company STADA is reaffirming its commitment to the international Parkinson’s community as a sponsor of the 6th PingPongParkinson World Championship (PPPWC), taking place from October 20 to 26, 2025, in Lignano Sabbiadoro, Italy.

Following its successful sponsorship of the 2024 event in Slovenia, STADA continues its partnership with the Parkinson’s community. The goal: to help people living with Parkinson’s remain active and experience the joy of movement.

More than 325 athletes from 26 countries are expected to participate this year – setting a new record. On average, participants are 63 years old and have been living with Parkinson’s for about eight years. During the week-long championship, around 1,700 matches will be played across singles, doubles, and mixed competitions.

STADA is very proud to once again be a sponsor of the PingPongParkinson World Championship,” said Ian Henshaw, Global Specialty Head at STADA. Raising awareness and helping people diagnosed with Parkinson’s lead active and fulfilling lives aligns perfectly with our purpose: Caring for People’s Health as a Trusted Partner.”

The championship in Italy builds on the success of previous events in Austria, Croatia, Germany, Slovenia, and the USA, and has become one of the most significant global gatherings promoting sport and quality of life for people with Parkinson’s disease.
