Orifarm appoints Pierre Bourdage to Board of Directors

Orifarm has appointed Pierre Bourdage as a member of its Board of Directors, effective May 1.

With the appointment, the company adds an executive with international pharmaceutical industry experience. Orifarm says Bourdage’s strengths include commercial strategy and portfolio leadership. His track record spans generics, innovative medicines, biosimilars and MedTech, including work on transformation, licensing and M&A.

Background at Sandoz and Novartis

Most recently, Bourdage served as Chief Commercial Officer at Sandoz. In that role, he oversaw global commercial strategy and operations, including pipeline and portfolio responsibilities and leadership of the company’s global B2B business unit.

Before Sandoz, he spent close to 15 years at Novartis in a range of senior commercial leadership positions across several therapeutic areas.

Advisory work and market experience

Canadian-born and based in Montreal, Bourdage currently advises private equity partners and life science ventures, according to Orifarm. His experience includes work across multiple healthcare markets, including Canada, the UK, Ireland, Germany and Switzerland.
