Digital Progress for Psoriasis Patients: Nia Health Impresses with Sorea at the Healthy Hub 2025
Nia Health has secured a spot among the winners of the Healthy Hub 2025 with its innovative app Sorea – setting new standards in digital care for psoriasis patients. The award recognizes the app’s ability to support people with psoriasis in better understanding their condition, documenting symptoms, and actively managing their treatment.
Around two million people in Germany live with psoriasis. For them, the integration of Sorea into statutory healthcare services – supported by BIG direkt gesund and other health insurers – marks a significant step forward in providing personalized, continuous support.
“Psoriasis is a chronic condition that goes far beyond the skin,” emphasizes Tobias Seidl, founder of Nia Health. “With Sorea, we offer patients a digital solution that empowers them in everyday life and facilitates communication with their physicians.”
The Healthy Hub jury was especially impressed by the holistic approach of the app, which not only tracks symptoms but also provides educational content and supports the entire treatment journey. With this success, a pilot project is now being launched with BIG direkt gesund to make the app available to a broad base of insured patients.
“Winning the Healthy Hub is a major validation of our work – but more importantly, it’s a chance to help even more people,” Seidl continues. The goal is to sustainably improve care and empower those affected to manage their condition more effectively.
With this project, Nia Health and its partner insurers are writing a new chapter in the digital transformation of healthcare. The pilot launch is planned for the coming months.
