Martin Krämer becomes new Chief Financial Officer at CHEPLAPHARM

CHEPLAPHARM Group has appointed Martin Krämer as its new Chief Financial Officer. He takes over the role with immediate effect and will lead the finance organization of the Greifswald-based company.

Krämer joins CHEPLAPHARM from chemicals company Röhm, where he had served as CFO and Labour Director since 2019. He succeeds Dr. Keyarasch Parssanedjad, who is taking on new responsibilities on the CHEPLAPHARM management board as Chief Business & Strategy Officer.

Oversight of key finance functions

In his new position, Krämer is responsible for finance, internal audit and risk management, as well as treasury and investor relations. He reports to Co-CEO Sebastian Braun.

CHEPLAPHARM describes itself as an international pharmaceutical platform focused on established branded medicines. The appointment is intended to support the company’s finance organization as it continues its development.

Background at Röhm, Evonik, Lanxess and Bayer

Krämer started his career at Bayer and later held senior roles at Lanxess and Evonik. At Evonik and Röhm, he was responsible for the business with products under the PLEXIGLAS brand for around five years.

According to the company, Krämer brings broad international experience in financial management, corporate steering, financing, M&A and other transactions. Over the course of his career, he spent about ten years in South Korea and China. He was also involved in two major carve-outs from publicly listed companies.

Krämer holds a Diplom-Kaufmann degree and completed his studies at the University of Cologne in 1991.
