Hameln to host second nursing congress on the future of care
On 16 April 2026, Sana Klinikum Hameln-Pyrmont will host the second Hameln nursing congress “Pflege bewegt” at the Weserberglandzentrum in Hameln. The full-day event is set to bring together nursing professionals from inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as trainees, students, educators, and stakeholders from healthcare and politics.
Topics spanning care delivery and education
The agenda focuses on the ongoing development of professional nursing, including current sector conditions and issues such as workforce retention, women’s health, diversity, ethical responsibility, and new working models. Talks and hands-on workshops are planned.
Industry exhibition and new award for emerging talent
An accompanying industry exhibition will showcase technologies and products for everyday nursing practice. The congress will also introduce the “Pflege bewegt Award – Pflege der Zukunft” for the first time, featuring ideas presented by trainees and students. Selected projects will be presented on site and evaluated by the audience.
Participation and continuing education credits
The congress runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Participation is free of charge. Attendees can obtain continuing education credits via the independent body “Registrierung beruflich Pflegender”, and additional credits for vocational pedagogy are listed. Registration is available via the hospital’s website.
