Codis appoints Steven Facer as Chief Commercial Officer

Codis has named Steven Facer Chief Commercial Officer, creating a new senior role to consolidate its commercial activities. The CDMO announced the appointment on September 21, 2026, from St. Louis, Missouri.

In the role, Facer will oversee the integration of Sales, Marketing and Business Development. Codis said the move is intended to improve global commercial alignment and create a more coordinated approach to customer engagement. The commercial organization now includes team members in the United States and the United Kingdom.

New role supports global commercial coordination

The CCO position is designed to bring market strategy, customer-facing activities and business development into a more unified structure. For Codis, the change comes as the company continues to build a broader international operating model.

CEO Nicolas Fortin described Facer’s appointment as part of the company’s next stage of growth. Facer is expected to shape commercial strategy and strengthen collaboration across regions.

Three decades of leadership experience

Facer joined Codis in October 2025. He brings more than 30 years of leadership experience across pharmaceuticals, medical devices and packaging. His previous roles included senior positions at Thermo Fisher Scientific, ACG Worldwide, Capsugel, Catalent, Colorcon and Adare Pharma Solutions.

Codis is a global CDMO focused on spray drying, amorphous solid dispersions, particle engineering and finished dose manufacturing. The company serves pharmaceutical, consumer health, nutraceutical and OTC markets.

Its manufacturing network includes cGMP facilities in St. Louis, Seymour, Nottingham and Haverhill. Codis reports more than 400,000 square feet of cGMP capacity. The company has also acquired Catalent’s Nottingham facility to expand its European end-to-end spray drying and pharmaceutical CDMO manufacturing capabilities.
