ABDA actively shapes expopharm 2025: Future topics for pharmacies and healthcare in focus
expopharm 2025 in Düsseldorf (September 16–18) will run under the motto “For the Future of Our Pharmacies”. Europe’s leading trade fair for the pharmacy market is once again organized by Avoxa – Media Group of German Pharmacists, parallel to the German Pharmacists’ Congress.
A special focus is on events with ABDA participation, addressing central issues such as pharmaceutical services, interprofessional collaboration, and the role of pharmacies of the future.
On September 17, ABDA Vice President Dr. Ina Lucas will join the panel “BPI – Together. For the Future of Our Medicine Supply”. The following day, she will take part in “PZ Nachgefragt: The Pharmacy of the Future – No Room for Vanity”.
Dr. Armin Hoffmann, President of the Federal Chamber of Pharmacists, will be interviewed on September 17 at “Do We Need Mandatory Continuing Education?”. On September 18, he will also contribute to the panel “75 Years – WIV Pharmacists as Shapers of Tomorrow’s Pharmacy”.
Franziska Scharpf, Vice President of the Federal Chamber of Pharmacists, will highlight the importance of collaboration with her talk “Interprofessionalism as the Key to a Changing Healthcare System” on September 18.
The DAV (German Pharmacists’ Association) will also be strongly represented:
- Anke Rüdinger, Deputy Chairwoman, will speak on September 17 at “Wholesale and Pharmacy – Doomed to Friendship” and, on the following day, at the Healthcare Women panel on interdisciplinary cooperation in gender-specific medication.
- Dr. Jan-Niklas Francke, DAV Board Member, will answer questions on September 17 about the role of the electronic patient record (ePA) in cooperation between doctors and pharmacies.
The opening day of the fair, September 16, will already focus on pharmaceutical services. Dr. Nina Griese-Mammen, ABDA Department Head, will moderate the panel “Safe, Competent, and Close to Patients – Your Role in Oral Tumor Therapy”.
ABDA’s strong presence at expopharm 2025 underlines one message: The future of pharmacies will be interdisciplinary, patient-oriented, and innovation-driven.
