Sanofi, Genentech and Kedrion back NBDF bleeding disorder campaign
The National Bleeding Disorders Foundation (NBDF) has launched a new awareness effort positioned as a multi-year initiative. The program aims to broaden public understanding of bleeding disorders such as hemophilia and von Willebrand disease and to strengthen practical support for people living with these conditions.
Campaign hub covers symptoms, access and support
The initiative includes a dedicated website with educational materials plus a slate of videos and articles, with more content expected to follow. Topics include navigating insurance coverage, finding community resources and recognizing symptoms that can be missed in routine care. NBDF also highlights a focus on women and girls, a group the organization says is frequently misdiagnosed or underdiagnosed for bleeding disorders.
Livestream planned for March 28
NBDF is also planning a livestream event on March 28, described as a community celebration featuring music, celebrity participation and firsthand stories from patients, experts and advocates.
Industry support and celebrity participation
NBDF lists Sanofi, Genentech and Kedrion BioPharma as supporters of the campaign. The effort also involves The Talk About It! Company, which has recruited several on-screen names to appear in campaign videos, including Melora Hardin, Amy Jo Johnson, Jonathan Frakes, Jason Ritter and Greg Grunberg.
Grunberg is also set to host a podcast series connected to the campaign, scheduled to begin this spring and to feature members of the bleeding disorders community.
