STADA strengthens global legal function: Ole Wendler Pedersen becomes new Executive Vice President Legal and General Counsel

STADA announces an important leadership change: Effective 1 December 2025, the company has appointed Ole Wendler Pedersen as Executive Vice President Legal and General Counsel. He succeeds Christoph Dengler, who is leaving STADA after nearly 14 years to pursue new professional opportunities outside the Group.

The Danish national will be based at the company’s headquarters in Bad Vilbel near Frankfurt and will report directly to CEO Peter Goldschmidt as a member of the STADA Executive Committee. Pedersen brings more than 20 years of international legal expertise, most recently serving as Group General Counsel at Lundbeck, a global, publicly listed pharmaceutical company developing and marketing innovative therapies for brain diseases. Prior to Lundbeck, he held several leadership roles at Novo Nordisk across different regions, including Regional General Counsel and Vice President of Legal, Compliance & Quality for Novo Nordisk Europe.

CEO Goldschmidt highlights the strategic value of the appointment: “Ole brings a strategic and operational business focus that spans R&D, manufacturing, commercial functions, as well as the oversight of complex merger and acquisition processes.” His extensive experience in building organizations and driving transformative leadership across therapeutic areas and geographies is expected to further strengthen Legal as a core business function within STADA.

Pedersen describes his decision to join STADA at this pivotal time as highly intentional. He emphasized his enthusiasm for leading the global legal department as an integral part of the company, enabling growth, fostering innovation, and supporting teams worldwide in delivering trusted healthcare solutions.

Goldschmidt also expressed his appreciation for the contributions of Christoph Dengler, who led the Legal function – including Compliance, IP and Risk Management – with dedication and creative thinking. Dengler played a critical role in navigating the legal complexities of the 2017 acquisition by Bain Capital and Cinven and was equally instrumental in preparing for the transition to CapVest, expected to conclude an important phase in STADA’s strategic development.

Pedersen’s appointment marks a significant step in further reinforcing STADA’s global governance and legal structures.
