sebamed focuses on clarity, science, and sustainability: New packaging design launching in August 2025

Starting August 1, 2025, sebamed will unveil a redesigned packaging concept that highlights its medical skincare expertise with a fresh, modern appearance. Since 1967, the brand has stood for medicinal skin cleansing and care with a skin-friendly pH value of 5.5 – and now this legacy is visually emphasized more than ever.

At the core of the new design are clean lines, minimalist white surfaces, and subtle color accents, creating a clinical and trustworthy look. First introduced in April 2024, the redesign is now being rolled out across the entire product range. The logo and the brand claim “Science for healthy skin since 1967” take center stage – expressing the connection between tradition and over 400 scientific studies that prove sebamed’s effectiveness.

The front of the products has been restructured to clearly communicate essential information – such as key ingredients, product benefits, and scientific claims – in an intuitive, transparent, and easily recognizable way. Information about microbiome stabilization and clinically proven effectiveness is now prominently integrated into the packaging. The label “Medical Skincare Made in Germany” emphasizes the brand’s origin and dermatological focus.

The back of the packaging was also thoroughly redesigned to highlight sebamed’s medical expertise in a consumer-friendly manner. A key feature is the visible pH scale, which illustrates the skin-friendly pH of 5.5 and its significance for skin health. This is complemented by references to sebamed’s scientific expertise since 1967, supported by over 400 studies. The new design also explains study-backed effectiveness for each formula and includes clearly worded usage instructions to support proper application. Additional product recommendations make it easier to navigate the range.

Sustainability is another priority: Several products will no longer use folding boxes, reducing packaging waste and benefiting the environment. The back of the pack also now highlights sebamed’s environmental promise – including the absence of silicones and microplastics.
