“Skin First”: New Campaign Positions Swiss Pharmacies as the Go-To for Skin Problems

Skin conditions are among the most common health problems – and not just during the warmer months. From acne and eczema to neurodermatitis, skin issues affect people of all ages and can significantly disrupt daily life. With the new “Skin Health: Consultation and Treatment” campaign, Swiss pharmacies are raising awareness of skin health throughout June 2025.

Running from June 1 to 30, 2025, the campaign is held under the patronage of the Swiss Pharmacists Association pharmaSuisse and is developed and implemented by the Health Trade Alliance (Bündnis GFH). The campaign’s goal is clear: encourage early response to skin issues and position pharmacies as the first and most accessible point of care.

Thanks to their broad expertise, long opening hours and convenient locations, pharmacies offer low-threshold access to consultation and treatment. The campaign is supported by a comprehensive omnichannel strategy – including in-pharmacy materials, TV spots, outdoor advertising, social media and online communication.

The campaign deliberately uses the catchy wordplay “Skin First”, which cleverly twists familiar phrases into new, skin-related messages. Strong slogans like “Skin First – Expert Advice” or “Skin First – Fast Relief” emphasize the pharmacy’s role as a trusted health provider.

A representative survey from April 2024 confirms the campaign’s success: 76% of respondents viewed it positively, 94% found the message easy to understand, and 88% felt it fit the image of Swiss pharmacies.

These results underline the effectiveness of the GFH Alliance’s strategy in positioning pharmacies as modern, competent healthcare providers. The campaign is also supported by numerous partners and sponsors who are committed to strengthening public health awareness across Switzerland.
